I am a lifelong resident of Monroe County and a Brighton resident since 1955. I am a 1965 graduate of Brighton High School. I received a B.S. in Accounting from Bentley College, Waltham, MA.
After four years working with Certified Public Accounting firms, I decided to leave public accounting and lead my family's purchase of a Brighton motel and restaurant. I directed the management of the motel for nearly 20 years and achieved professional recognition as a Certified Hotel Administrator. In 1985 I envisioned the potential for growth in the Perinton-Victor area and developed the Brookwood Inn in Perinton. Since 1995 I have been the owner of an Internet development company,
US WebSites.
I have been a Democrat and political activist since my college days. In 2000 I developed a website for the
Monroe County Democratic Committee and was nominated for Party Volunteer of the Year. To confirm my passion for politics, in November 2004 I went to Cleveland, OH during the Presidential election and worked for the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party on the Kerry campaign and also the Voting Rights Team as a poll watcher to assure that all who were entitled to vote were able to vote.
